This exercise is also commonly known as the sit up.

Sit up bench exercises for beginners. Hook your legs under the foot brace or support bar. Set the incline to your preference so your head is in a lower position than your legs. This exercise is the opposite version of the decline bench sit ups.

Then put your hand around your nape or neck. You start by lying on the bench on your stomach and put your feet or knees between the rollers to keep them secured. Lie on your back on a mat with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.

Your feet should be on the inclined higher side of the bench and your head should be at the declined lower side of the bench. You don t need to be sitting on a floor to do sit ups. Lift your upper body as high as you can and hold it for 2 3 seconds.

Crunch your ab muscles to lift your shoulders off the mat. Keep your back straight and your core engaged. Sit on the bench with your knees bent.
